2008 Alfredo Prunotto Barbaresco Bric Turot
ITALY / PIEDMONT /
Wine Advocate | Rating: 92
Firm yet well-integrated tannins provide the backbone as the 2008 Barbaresco Bric Turot opens up in the glass. I find lovely inner sweetness and perfume in the dark fruit, although the 2008 is several years away, at a minimum, from providing true pleasure. Hints of spices and flowers wrap around the vibrant, juicy finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020.Author: Antonio GalloniInternational Wine Cellar | Rating: 89
Medium red with a pale rim. Red cherry, mint and soil tones on the slightly medicinal nose. More minty and closed than the 2008 normale, showing less obvious ripeness and sweetness today. The tannins coat the teeth. I find this a bit dry.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: November/December 2011
