2007 Piña Cabernet Sauvignon Buckeye Vineyard
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / NAPA
International Wine Cellar | Rating: 89
($85) Bright medium ruby-red. Deeper aromas of currant, mocha and roast coffee. Suave on entry, then a bit tight and bound-up in the middle palate, with a slightly aggressive quality to the wild flavors of dark currant, smoked meat, menthol and fresh herbs. Stronger on the finish than the d'Adamo and in need of a few years in the cellar.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2010

Clear, opaque deep purple with light redening on the rim. Clean, expressive aromas of red and blue berries, loamy soil and vanilla. Dry, fullbodied, moderate tannins, boozy with long finish. Flavors of creme de cassis and mint-chocolate. A big boozy napa cab, well-done with appreciable mountain fruit concentration.Author: SurgPA05
