($100) Medium red. Slightly reduced aromas of redcurrant and minerals. Suave, sweet and pliant, but with good life to the flavors of redcurrant, smoke and minerals. Not especially complex but offers solid density and structure.

In relatively stark contrast to the other Nuits-based wines, this is closed and completely inexpressive at present. This is partially due to a bit of reduction but it took some aggressive swirling to obtain discreet aromas of blue fruit, violets and earth aromas though the spicy and broad-shouldered flavors are rich, full, naturally sweet and clearly powerful as there is ample mid-palate concentration and real drive on the fresh, intense and mineral suffused linear and palate staining finish. Impressive if very backward.

Rich, vibrant, lots of layers and intensity. Dry finish but lots of fruit too - one of most complex 2007s. Well done!
Very nice wine, compared side by side to a Leroy Les Boudots same vintage. Both side by side produce a beautiful nose of sexy vosne spices. Very similar, surprising compared to the typical Leroy nose. In mouth showing both have great structure. With time the Leroy wins but just by a slight margin. Great wine.
