    ($50) Inky ruby. Initially reduced; aeration brings up deep cassis and cherry-cola aromas and flavors, along with notes of sassafras and licorice. A dense, chewy wine that unfolds slowly and shows some coarse tannins right now. There's good depth here but it's a tough read.
