Wine Spectator | Rating: 92
A firm, robust style, dense and chewy, showing concentrated, focused currant, mineral, graphite, cedary oak and black licorice, with a dash of blackberry. Full-bodied, intense and persistent, with a long, complex finish.Drink Dates: 2010-2020Author: James LaubeWine Advocate | Rating: 86
The only problematic offering is the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Bergfeld, whose challenging tannins will likely cause it to dry out over time. It possesses a dense purple color as well as attractive, earthy, black currant fruit intermixed with notions of tobacco leaf and spice. However, the astringency of the tannins gives the wine a narrowly constructed and dubious future.Author: Robert Parker
