($200) Bright medium red. Sweet, seductive nose melds raspberry, smoky underbrush, pungent minerality and sexy oak tones. Silky-sweet and lush, with a downright seamless quality to the palate-saturating red fruit, earth, spice and mineral flavors. As plush as this is, it maintains a light touch straight through to the long finish.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: March/April 2009Burghound | Rating: 91
A relatively, in fact almost surprisingly high-toned nose of red berry fruit, earth, underbrush and discreetly spicy aromas are trimmed in a bit of new wood that introduces supple, intense and detailed medium full flavors that display a touch of minerality that continue onto the firm and slightly dry finish. This may round out but it's more likely an effect of the hail that hit this vineyard in 2006.Author: Allen MeadowsIssue: 1st Quarter, 2008Jancis Robinson | Rating: 17
Expensive! Nice wine, though I'm not at all convinced it's worth 800 a case. Very rich and flattering. Too much dry oak on the finish.Author: Jancis RobinsonIssue: 01/30/2008
