($47) Light yellow. Intensely soil-driven nose offers a complex bouquet of iodine and mineral-laced citrus and pit fruit aromas. Firm, deeply concentrated lemon and Anjou pear flavors stain the palate and are strongly reminiscent of serious Chablis. Finishes with outstanding cling and vivacity.

A hint of wood frames an expressive nose of dried apricot, yellow peach and spiced pear that complements the intense and citrus-infused flavors that are mouth coating and textured as there is ample dry extract that completely buffers the underlying acidity on the powerful and detailed finish. This is a big but not inelegant wine that is quite powerful if not especially elegant.
