($28; 90% cabernet sauvignon and 10% shiraz) Deep, bright-rimmed ruby color. Very spicy aromas of pungent red and dark berries, dried violet, incense and botanical herbs. Round and sappy, with sweet cherry and blackcurrant flavors, juicy acidity and gentle tannic grip. This became more powerful with air, taking on subtle espresso and bitter chocolate character. Leaves ripe cherry and plum notes behind on the long, chewy finish. This needs time to unwind.Author: Josh RaynoldsIssue: September/October 2008

Very generous aromas of black berry fruit, cassis and even a hint of chacolate. This is a wine with a lovely mouthfeel that lingers joyfully in the mouth. Delicious with roast beef, barbeque fair or game. This is a well made wine benefitting from its bottle age.Drink Dates: 2012-2014Author: FestiveW
