Wine Advocate | Rating: 87The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate reveals a similar dark ruby/purple color with some lightening at the edge. The nose is more restrained and locked in, but with significant coaxing, aromas of cedar box, forest floor, roasted herbs, charcoal, and black currants began to emerge. The mouth confirms the restrained aromatics. Tannic and medium-bodied with hardness as well as austerity, this French-like 2006 does not come close to the quality of the 2005.Author: Robert Parker
Self | Rating: 92A full load of berry fruit in the nose, black-currant flavors and extremely even balance. It features an attractive set of cherry and cassis flavors, and the heavy tannins that hit home on the long finish, while fairly starching, don't stand in the way of the overall pleasure it gives.Author: JLANDAULA
Tom and Laurie Clark staked their dream to a small parcel on the east side of Howell Mountain and produced their first vintage in 1993. The winemaking style is elegant in its subtlety, and reflects the parcel's unique microclimate. Douglas Danielak is winemaker.
