  • International Wine Cellar | Rating: 90

($90) Red-ruby. Very ripe black raspberry, smoke, mocha and mint aromas. Then dense, creamy and sweet, with a suggestion of chocolate liqueur contributing to the fat impression. This has the mid-palate stuffing to support its big, slightly rough tannins.

    Issue: May/June 2009
  • Wine Advocate | Rating: 92

St. Helena's 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Chabot Vineyard exhibits graphite, damp earth, forest floor, sweet creme de cassis, and blackberry notes that dominate this wine, which is both powerful and elegant.
