($55) Light red color. Strikingly aromatic nose offers smoky cherry and dark berry scents complicated by musky herbs, baking spices and cola. Deeply concentrated, supple dark fruit flavors meld sweetness and vivacity seamlessly. Gains weight on the finish, which features cherry-cola and ripe blackberry qualities. A sexy, forward style that's delicious today. (JR)

Ripe plum and wild berry fruit has a spicy, floral edge. Full-bodied, balanced and delicate, ending with integrated tannins. The best of two bottles tasted.
