Dark chocolate and blackberry aromas follow through to a full body, with lots of juicy fruit, soft tannins and a long aftertaste of coffee and berry.

Medium ruby. High-toned aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate and licorice. Lush and sweet but quite primary, with firm acids giving shape to the black cherry and brambly dark berry flavors. Just a tad hard today. Finishes with firm tannins and lingering notes of licorice and black fruits.

Very dark but clean fresh fruit - quite intense. Taken to the limit of intensity and pretty brutal acidity and tannin but there is some refreshment here. A bit bitter on the finish so not the finest.
Decant at least 1 hour before tasting and be prepared for a treat.

Wow, incredibly structured wine. We opened a bottle from a case to see where the wine is, and where it's going. Not at all ready yet; 3 years minimum from now (2008) before it's ready. Great fruit supported by great structure. If this is what 2005 non-'growth' Bordeaux is like, there is going to be a ton of great wine available at reasonable prices.
