Wine Spectator | Rating: 96A muscular white, displaying plenty of apple, peach, lemon cream and toasty oak notes against a rich texture. As this lingers on the palate, a mineral element comes to the fore. Though this should please early on, the firm structure will serve it well over time.Author: Bruce Sanderson
The latest in a long line of Burgundy producers, Pierre Yves Colin-Morey is intimately familiar with the vineyards and growers of the region. These relationships allow him to select the absolute best crop portions from his preferred sites each year. Colin-Morey is strict about quality and his standards are very high; if he feels that a particular wine, once fermented, is not of an acceptable caliber, he will sell it off in bulk rather than see it through bottling. The wines see no batonnage at all during their 15 -18 month elevage period, and they are coveted by enthusiasts and collectors around the world.
