($44; 14.3%) Good deep, bright red. Deep, musky red raspberry aroma, along with a meaty whiff of reduction that quickly blew off. Sweet and pliant but with good focus to its intense flavors of raspberry, spices and minerals.A step up in precision from the Durell and Cargasacchi Jalama bottlings. Finishes firm and persistent, with good thrust to its redcurrant flavor.(The wines of this partnership are made by Brian Loring.)

A very pretty and very pinot nose of small and intense red berry fruit aromas trimmed in the barest hints of wood spice and dark plum dissolve into delicious, fresh and silky middle weight flavors that culminate in a punchy if slightly edgy finish that displays just a touch of acidity poking through. This may round out with a year or two in bottle and it would probably be almost invisible if paired with the right dishes. A lovely effort that is again, very pinot in overall style.
