A lovely mix of upper and middle register mostly red berry fruit and red pinot aromas combine with more obviously structured and firmer flavors that possess a dusty and intense quality that is definitely more soil and mineral-inflected than any of the preceding wines in the Pali range. I quite like this and what is unusual is the subtle touch of austerity on the finale. To be clear, this isn't necessarily typical but the style and character of the wine are definitely interesting.
