($27) Ruby-red. Elegant, precise scents of redcurrant and raspberry, along with smoked meat, Asian spices and garrigue Suave red fruit flavors are gently firmed by silky tannins, finishing with excellent linear persistence. Impressive for its finesse and focus. This cuvee was called Clos Montirius through the 2004 vintage.

Dark and really packed, but seamless, with a round, juicy texture carrying the fig sauce, black licorice, Turkish coffee and iron notes. Has a long finish filled with blackberry and mineral.
