A lovely nose of minerals, white flower, peach and pear with a hint of rosemary oil dissolves into rich, full, sweet and mouth coating flavors that despite the apparent size, remain quite finely detailed and essentially this is a wine of finesse, balance and harmony. Lovely in every respect.
Nose and mouth impression initially tight with an almost wood spirit element on top of white flowers and quince. Later, fuller Chassagne fruit and high-pitched floral character emerged with subdued exotic and metallic overtones and an angularity (one taster called it |boxy|) typical of the vintage. Surprisingly elegant finish, but I'm not optimistic that this will integrate well.
