($55) Good full medium ruby. Aromas of dark chocolate, spices, flowers and fresh herbs. Offers tobacco leaf and bitter chocolate flavors, and a creamy-sweet texture that seems more merlot than cabernet. Finishes with soft tannins.

Heavy-handed earthy, charry oak flavors make for a disjointed presentation, robbing the fruit of a chance to shine. 4,552 cases made.

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot) exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, a sweet nose of floral-infused black currants and cherries, some smoke and graphite notes, outstanding density, ripeness, and overall harmony. Still backward and austere in the finish, this is a Medoc look-alike that should drink handsomely between 2010 and 2020+.
lots of barrel lactone notes, dark chocolate, butterscotch, crushed very ripe raspberry, ash, white pepper, dried herb like paprika or cayenne, shows heat inky and extracted, sueded tannin, angular and hot on finish
