2005 Domaine Frédéric Magnien Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot 1er Cru

Here the nose is more expressive and the wood toast more evident with earthy, floral and crushed green herb notes merging into big, powerful and robust flavors that possess a beguiling sweetness and an opulent, indeed almost thick texture on the well-muscled finish. This is rich, long and delicious if not elegant and the essential character is very Morgeot, e.g. brawny yet attractive.
