2005 Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru

As is often is chez Bitouzet, this is the most complete wine in the range if not by much with strikingly pure and elegant aromas of red and blue berry fruit aromas nuanced by notes of violets and subtle spice hints that continue on the rich, supple and stunningly complex medium full flavors blessed with ample dry extract. This is a balanced and harmonious effort supported by firm tannins and excellent length. In a word, terrific.
