International Wine Cellar | Rating: 90($90) Good full medium ruby. Rather reticent aromas of currant, tobacco, licorice and earth; shows less lift than the Quarry. Tightly wound but less sharply delineated than the Quarry, with a slight acid edge to the blackberry, crushed rock and licorice flavors. Finishes with firm tannic spine and a lightly herbal quality. Not a particularly fleshy style, with its sweetness currently under wraps. These 2005 vineyard-designated cabernets were bottled about a month prior to my visit, and this one appears to have been the most affected.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2008
Wine Advocate | Rating: 89The other wine that seemed more angular was the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Marston Vineyard (another mountain site). All of these wines possesses 15-20 years of aging potential.Author: Robert Parker
