Self | Rating:Big River Ranch petite sirah is a delicious expression of this deep, dark and brooding varietal. The bouquet features aromas of dark blueberry, casis and spice. Full texture fills the mouth and firm tannins remind the taster that this is petite sirah.Author: JUNGLE
Scott Adams released his first Zinfandel from the 1999 vintage in 2001 and the winery became an instant success. Beautifully defined fruit is the hallmark here without the overt heaviness found in many examples of this varietal. I found nothing finer that year and named Bella the best in several year-end categories, most notably "Winery of the Year 2001." The Adams' three distinct vineyards, Belle Canyon, Lily Hill and Big River Ranch are all old vine sources and regularly produce an average of 800 cases each. Belle Canyon, at 340 cases, is the smallest site.
