2004 Revana Family Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / NAPA

Aromas of fresh herb, sage and dusty berry fold into the ripe currant and cherry fruit. Has excellent structure, depth, balance and proportion, and the finish is long and persistent, ending with a nice mineral edge.Author: James LaubeWine Advocate | Rating: 93
The gorgeous 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon from Revana is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It exhibits a complex nose of forest floor, black cherries, and black currants, with hints of cedar wood and spice box. In the mouth it is elegant, with sweet tannins, terrific fruit, and purity, as well as a layered, opulent mouthfeel and a beautiful, long finish of a good 40+ seconds. This wine is already exhibiting complexity and early drinkability, but has the balance and requisite depth to age well for 10-15 years.Author: Robert Parker

My only experience with Revana Cab. This was full-bodied, concentrated, pure cabernet fruit. Very long, intensifying finishAuthor: Front Man
Dr. Madaiah Revana is a successful Cardiologist in Houston whose desire to have a vineyard in Napa Valley was shaped by a visit in 1997. Once he decided on the place, he dove in and hired the best winemaking and vineyard management team available. Vineyard Manager Jim Barbour has his boot-prints all over the Valley and his name alone instantly commands notice for a new property. Paired with one of the most respected winemakers in the world, Heidi Peterson Barrett, big things were naturally expected. Barbour developed the site into an eight-block mix of four different classic Bordeaux varieties with the exception of Merlot. Peterson Barrett's resume was already brimming with successes elsewhere, including Paradigm, Dalla Valle, Jones Family, Screaming Eagle, Grace Family, Amuse Bouche, Showket and her own La Sirena.
