A very tightly woven red, with chewy, minerally tannins and floral and raspberry character. Medium- to full-bodied, with silky tannins and a reserved finish. This is really holding back right now. Best after 2010. 750 cases made.

Good medium red. Minty, high-pitched nose suggests a powerful wine. Dense, energetic and sweet, with firm minerality providing energy and real grip. The resounding finish boasts lovely length. This youthfully tight wine should age nicely for 12 to 15 years. Like the Moccagatta, the soil here features more calcium and less sand, but here the exposure is southwest. Still, the wine's minerality gives it real lift.
