($285) Full red-ruby. Complex, cool aromas of musky raspberry, ripe strawberry, minerals, pepper and flowers. Intensely flavored and penetrating, with a primary, sappy character and powerful minerality to the crushed fruit flavors. The back end shows superb slow-building length and great verve. This is almost sweeter after you swallow than when it's in your mouth.

Pretty and nicely elegant dark berry fruit aromas that are moderately earthy introduce big, powerful and firmly structured medium to full-bodied flavors that are rich, intense and mouth coating and it's clear that this is a wine to be reckoned with yet one that does not lack for a certain elegance, all wrapped in an explosive yet solidly balanced finish.
