Dried herb, sage and dusty berry fruit is pure and focused, with the black cherry and blackberry fruit gaining depth and richness, expanding and filling out on the palate. Ends with a burst of rich Pinot fruit.

Fruit-forward, linear, well-structured, and pure, the elegant, deep 2004 Pinot Noir Fe Ciega (a Santa Rita Hills site owned by Rick Longoria) exhibits plenty of black raspberry, plum, and cherry fruit along with hints of Allspice and background oak. It is medium to full-bodied, lush, and heady.
