($72-$92) Medium red. Expressive aromas of raspberry, Oriental spices and rose petal, with an intriguing suggestion of dried apricot and a whiff of sexy, nutty oak. At once sweeter and more vinous than the Colombiere, with a silky texture and lovely energy. Comes across as more primary today than the Colombiere.

Looks much more than a year older than the 2005. Very nice evolution. Mushroomy already. Quite light at first, then a hit of bright cherry fruit. There's a slight hole in the middle. Very pale.

Very pale ruby / tawny colour. Earthy, meaty aromas emanate from the glass conjuring an image of truffle laced game with a raspberry sauce served on a bed of damp moss. A firm backbone of acid supports the soft, supple tannins and delicate red berry fruit. Long earthy finish.
