International Wine Cellar | Rating: 91($25) Inky violet. Strong notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, kirsch, licorice, smoked meat and candied violet. Suave and velvety but firmed by gentle acids; the dark berry flavors show brightness and impressive sweetness and are nicely buffered by soft tannins. For a wine of this weight there's very good focus and freshness. Vanilla and oak spice come up on the finish but do not detract from the wine's bright fruit.
