($70) Good ruby-red. Sappy aromas of red berry liqueur, tar, mint and spicy oak. Very ripe, rich flavors of black fruits, with an exotic suggestion of apricot. Distinctly roasted, vintage-typical wine. Finishes with building tannins.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: March/April 2005Jancis Robinson | Rating: 17
CSÿÿ Dark, bluish purple. Intense, fruity, sweet and very slightly jammy, but with lots of charm and punch. The first 2003 with even vaguely animal notes. Big, burly and autumnal. Quite severe, chewy finish for now. Great sweetness underneath.Author: Jancis RobinsonRating: 89
Earthy yet elegant red and black pinot fruit aromas are followed by very ripe but not jammy medium full flavors that are opulent and velvety and culminate in a spicy, slightly warm finish underpinned by buried tannins. This too is quite appealing with a more obvious Nuits character, especially on the backend.Issue: 1st Quarter, 2005
