($131) Rather bracing aromas of lemon, flint and minerals. Full and seamless but youthfully unforthcoming, with vibrant citrus and floral flavors. Dense, strong and uncompromisingly dry, finishing with excellent length. I would never have picked this rather closed wine as a 2003. . Very ripe but still classic aromas of white flowers and high-toned spicy green apple aromas introduce rich, full and slightly sweet medium full-bodied flavors that possess a fine core of minerality that imparts both lift and a certain underlying firmness to the moderately long finish. I quite like the complexity here and as good as this wine is, it is fair to say that the '03 does not display, or at least not yet, the hallmark elegance and superb detail that it usually does.
