Dense but juicy, with almost jammy ripeness but also a brambly freshness to the fruit; offers a very good sugar/acid balance. A very rich, fat wine with plenty of weight and supporting structure. The tannins are broad and sweet. This wine was aged in 75% new oak and spent almost two years in barrel.
