($46) Bright, deep red. Vibrant aromas of red cherry, rose petal and spices. Lively, fruit-driven and juicy, with nicely delineated flavors of black raspberry, brown spices, mocha and lavender. Firm-edged but not dry on the back end. Wears its 15. 2% alcohol lightly.

Intense and tightly focused on a juicy core of ripe, racy, zesty wild berry and blackberry fruit. Excellent balance, depth and concentration, with the tannins in the right proportion. Finishes with high-toned berry fruit.

The outstanding 2003 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard exhibits a dark plum/ruby color along with aromas of black currants, cherries, plums, damp earth, licorice, and underbrush. The sweet palate opens to reveal expansive, concentrated, bold, exuberant flavors as well as enough acidity to provide definition and vibrancy. It will drink well for 5-6 years.
