2003 Ken Wright Pinot Noir Guadalupe Vineyard
UNITED STATES / OREGON / DUNDEE HILLS
International Wine Cellar | Rating: 88
($42) Dark red. Ripe, smoky, dark cherry aroma, with complicating, exotic notes of blood orange and fresh basil. Sappy and fat in the mouth, with a distinctly ripe cherry tone. Dense and long, with pronounced ripeness. Fans of large-scaled, ripe pinot will enjoy this one.Author: Josh RaynoldsIssue: May/June 2005Wine Advocate | Rating: 86
Offering scents of dark berries, the tannic, rustic 2003 Pinot Noir Guadalupe Vineyard has none of the sultriness that made this parcel of vines famous with Pinot lovers. Its tight, focused black fruit-flavored core leads to a firm, slightly edgy finish.Author: Pierre Rovani

Tasted cooked regardless of prime storage conditions maintained since release. Not sure if the Guadalupe is meant to be aged...Author: Spank
Located in rural Carlton, Oregon, Ken Wright Cellars is devoted to showcasing the inherent quality of selected vineyard sites. With a clarity and breadth that is unequaled by other varieties, they believe Pinot noir best expresses the character of these sites. Rather than stamping wine with a varietal trademark, they see Pinot noir as a vehicle for conveying the aroma, flavor and texture of the location in which it is grown.
