($29-$33) Bright yellow-gold. Spicy, ripe, complex aromas of peach, apricot, orange and nutmeg. Juicy, shapely and sweet, with lovely inner-mouth lift and aromatic character. High-toned and expressive but also quite fresh and precise for the year. Finishes impressively long and firm. A very strong performance for this chateau, and a good value.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: July/August 2006Jancis Robinson | Rating: 16
A little bit musty and complicated on the nose. For insiders only. Toasty and chewy. Needs careful food matching and not THAT sweet....Author: Jancis RobinsonWine Spectator | Rating: 89
Wow. This shows superintense aromas of dried pineapple, apple tart and pecan pie with honey. Full-bodied and medium-sweet, with lovely honey character and a medium finish. Not as good as the 2001. 2,500 cases made.Author: James Suckling

Mind-blowingly sweet and unctious, but airy on the palate, showing orange marmalade, minerals and a suggestion of white pepper on the finish. A testament to the ripeness of the 2003 vintage. A real beauty. Drink now through 2018.Drink Dates: 2008-2018Author: PurpleTeethSelf | Rating: 93
