International Wine Cellar | Rating: 89($90) Bright ruby-red. Musky redcurrant, tobacco, underbrush and earth on the nose, plus hints of fresh herbs and licorice. In a juicy, tangy style but with slightly green acidity giving the redcurrant and mint flavors a somewhat pinched character. There's good intensity here but the wine finishes with slightly drying tannins.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2007
Wine Advocate | Rating: 91I'll keep my notes brief, but my favorites in 2003 include the Marston Vineyard on Spring Mountain as well as the Quarry, Rancho del Oso, and Steinhauer vineyards.Author: Robert Parker
