A suave customer, with hints of citrus, berry and coffee. Harmonious and refined, with freshness and a bright structure. The finish shows a lot of potential, with a mouthwatering aftertaste. Better than previously reviewed.

Roederer's 2002 Cristal is still in its infant, fresh stage. Subtle notes of pears, flowers, spices, mint, minerals and oak are woven into a cashmere-like frame of extraordinary grace and elegance. This beautifully-sculpted Champagne possesses notable clarity but with the additional depth of fruit that is characteristic of this vintage. It is a gorgeous, seductive Cristal of the highest level. In 2002, Cristal is 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay with 10 grams of dosage. 20% of the wine was fermented in oak. This is Lot : L030351A107809. This bottle was disgorged in June 28th, 2007.

Had for new years. Very young still but the aromas were great with perfumed flowers and sweet apples. On the palate it was not your typical yeasty champagne, it was all so focused and integrated. Smooth with slight acidity. Not worth the price though!! Still a good champagne but I can find better for 40 bucks

Just super. Enjoyed on our 38th anniversary with friends. But not worth the price.

nose with notes of apple blossom, fresh strawberries, nice bubbles, with crip acidity, sustained finish.

Prominent nose with plenty of freshness. Strong yeast covered with some nice sweetness behind, nicely made but I feel the yeast can be a bit more subtle. Good medium long aftertaste.

Silky smooth Champagne. In all honesty, this was our first venture into sparkling wine, but I was blow away. So much to the extent that I had to try other sparklings later on that week and nothing came close... still can't decide if an extra $400 is worth the Rose, but this was great!

Located just south of Reims, Louis Roederer is one of the largest remaining independent Champagne houses in France. It has been owned by the Rouzaud family since it was founded in 1776, and is most famous for producing the premium champagne Cristal. Tsar Nicholas II nominated Louis Roederer as the official wine supplier to the Imperial Court of Russia, and thus it became known as the "Champagne of the Tsars," or "Champagne of the Stars." Today, Roederer continues the tradition of producing fabulous champagne using century old methods yielding spectacular results.
