The saturated deep ruby-hued 2002 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard displays a promising nose of raspberries, cherry liqueur, earth, pepper, and spice. Velvety-textured and rich, with animal-like, underbrush/foresty notes (reminiscent of Cote de Nuits premier and grand crus) and a cassis-like character to its fruit, this distinctive, impressive Pinot will drink well for 5-7 years.

Ultrarich and deeply flavored, gushing with layers of complex plum, black cherry and blackberry fruit that is beautifully balanced, concentrated and focused, providing a delicious mouthful of Pinot Noir.
Dark black cherry red colored wine with candied strawberry and anise. The strawberry and anise continue in the mouth. Clean and modern unmistakably New World Pinot Noir. Good structure and acidity with light to moderate tannins. Quite good but not a wine that should be laid down. Some bubble gum aromas ? the wine is very young. Blind this wine was easy to pick out as a Loring.
