Deep red with some purple still. Pinkish at the edges. On the nose this is very concentrated. Aromas of cassis, pepper, stewed dark fruit. Awesome nose. On the palate there is concentrated dark fruit, cassis, red fruit and anise. Soft tannins, moderate acid and balanced. Great integration. Very impressive wine and I would estimate it is at or near peak. I will enjoy the remaing three I have in the next two years.

Excellent color with thick darkly pigmented legs. A clean, strong nose of oak and cherry. Very attractive on the palate with loads of sweet cherry fruit. Well balanced tannins and acidity. Lengthy finish tasting primarily of graham crackers and fruit.

Nestled deep in Conn Valley, east of St. Helena and the Meadowood Resort, Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyard remains an impressive, if not sometimes forgotten, source of very complex and potentially age worthy wines in Napa Valley. The vineyard produces beautifully rich, blackcurrant-flavored wines that have demonstrated stunning purity of flavor and aging potential while portraying a union of flamboyant Californian ripeness and Bordelais elegance and nuance.

Todd Anderson and winemaker Mac Sawyer initially put themselves on the map with their long-lived, estate Cabernet, but have expanded their repertoire to include Bordeaux tributes "Right Bank Cuvee" and Robert Parker-favorite "Eloge," which he calls "a distinct effort of first-growth quality."
