This is aromatically ripe but much more discreet and understated compared to the Mont‚e de Tonnerre and while there is a touch of wood, it is already a background element. The medium weight flavors display notes of peach and pear with impressive elegance, purity and delineation. There is a subtle finishing minerality that is really quite beguiling. Classically styled and proportioned with a cool finish.
