($75-$100) Medium red. Perfumed, floral aromas of red cherry and rose petal. Sweet, penetrating and sappy wine with captivating freshness and mineral/floral character. Extremely dense, with a texture of satin-in the style of a Musigny. This really coats the palate with flavor and finishes with superb lift and grip.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: March/April 2005Jancis Robinson | Rating: 17
Cask sample.Scented, deep, rich, and nutty with a trace of oak still. Very, very lively. Risky wine with real grip and tension. Thick. Could come right. Sweet, rich, smooth, integrated, and rather satin-textured. Lively finish. Racy - a certain style. Very slightly hollow on the finish.Author: Jancis RobinsonIssue: 11/18/2005Rating: 90
Plumy, superbly elegant aromas of extract of pinot fruit combine with wonderfully pure, intense and detailed middle weight flavors underpinned by dusty tannins that are buffered by copious sap. This is punchy, long and classy but it's awkward and disjointed on the finish today. This should come together with time but it's a question mark at the moment even though everything that is necessary is here.Issue: 1st Quarter, 2005
