The personal project of Robert Mondavi's winemaker, Genevieve Janssens, and her husband Luc, this is a serious, young, stunning Napa Cabernet Sauvignon possessing both power and elegance. Sweet blueberry, black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of charcoal, oak and earth emerge from this deep ruby/purple-colored 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and seriously endowed with restrained power, plenty of depth and a terrific finish, this youthful offering will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring and should last for at least two decades thereafter.
