($96) Good saturated red-ruby color. Superripe aromas of black raspberry and chocolate. Very rich, fat and sweet; a large-scaled wine given shape and verve by floral and mineral components. Should improve with a few more years in the bottle, but this solid wine already shows lovely sweetness and texture. Finishes with a note of chocolatey oak.

Opulent, lush and silky flavors are preceded by soaring red and black fruits of appealing sweetness and perfume. Solidly structured but the tannins are completely wrapped by the abundant sap. This is a really pretty wine with outstanding development potential. I very much like this.
