Domaine des Chezeaux was created in 1982 from vineyards held by the Mercier family since 1928. Today, Chezeaux owns almost 60% of Griotte-Chambertin, the smallest and most elegant of the nine Gevrey Grand Crus. The domaine produces a Village level Gevrey-Chambertin, as well as several Premiers Crus and Grand Crus from Gevrey Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny and Morey St. Denis.
Chezeaux's grapes are harvested by hand and then undergo traditional winemaking techniques before aging in oak casks for up to two years. The wine is bottled by hand without fining or filtration.
