Exotic fruit here, with black fig, dark plum and very ripe boysenberry flavors. Long, dense and plush, with plenty of toast, black tea, spice, bacon and milk chocolate notes. Powerful finish picks up some admirable grip too. A heady wine for the hedonist crowd.

The 2000, to be released later this year, is even better than the 1999 ... more concentrated, viscous, and complete. I rated it (92-95) immediately prior to being bottled without filtration.
