2000 Spring Mountain Elivette
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / NAPA
Wine Spectator | Rating: 86
Sleek and a bit rustic, with a green, stalky edge to the earthy currant and cedar flavors. Finishes with firm, integrated tannins but also an herbal streak. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. 3,000 cases made.Author: James Laube
Spring Mountain Vineyard was once actually three separate properties each with its own vineyard and winery: Spring Mountain Vineyards (Miravalle), Chateau Chevalier (Chevalier), and Draper Vineyards (La Perla).
Spring Mountain now produces several different varieties on the three estates for its many wines. These include Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Petite Verdot, which are used in their single varietal releases and in their renowned Bordeaux blend.
