($54; a cask sample) Saturated dark ruby. Very ripe aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis and roasted nuts, with a whiff of raisin. Fat, medium-sweet and on the soft side, with adequate structure and grip. Could use more nuance. With moderate mid-palate material, the dusty tannins come across as slightly dry.

A bouquet of melted asphalt, black currants, prunes, and blackberries emerges from this dense ruby/purple-colored offering. Made in a superficial style, it offers black fruit, medium body, moderate sweetness, and an abrupt finish.

Excellent deep healthy purple. Big, round and toasty - rather attractive on the nose. Good sweet mid-palate with topnotes that make it a really well balanced, lively proposition even if it fails to be one of the biggest wines in the line-up. Quite chewy and respectable. Attractive for the medium-term.

This is really fantastic. Wonderful aromas of grapes, berries and cherries. Full-bodied, medium sweet, with wonderfully refined tannins and a long, long finish.
