Not desperately precise though certainly competent. A bit earthbound tobe honest. Of the 2002, 2001 and 2000 it is much harder to pick out thedifferent vintage characteristics than for most wines. Big and bold butnone of the exceptional smooth qualities that one expects to jump outwith this vintage.Author: Jancis RobinsonIssue: 08-10-2007Wine Advocate | Rating: 89
Sweet cedar, plum, currant, and fresh herbs cascade from this evolved, dense ruby/purple-colored 2000. The flavors mirror the aromas - big, sweet, flamboyant notes of cedar, mulberries, black currants, and smoke can be found. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, concentrated, and substantial, this impressive effort should be at its finest between 2005-2016.Author: Robert ParkerWine Spectator | Rating: 92
Very, very impressive for this estate. Blackberry and cigar tobacco, with hints of toasted oak. Full-bodied, with loads of velvety tannins and a long finish.Author: James Suckling

A very nice Bordeaux. Med bodied, dark black fruits including blackberry & cassis. Roasted fruit quality, and also nice levels of oak, earth and spice. No rough edges.Author: David P187
