An uninspiring effort from one of my favorite estates, La Lagune's dark ruby-colored, elegant, medium-bodied 2000 reveals plenty of new oak, but lacks concentration, expansiveness, and persistence. It is a pretty wine, but short and insubstantial.Author: Robert ParkerWine Spectator | Rating: 89
Pretty berry, chocolate and vanilla character, with medium body, fine tannins and a silky finish. Lacks a bit of punch, but a very good wine.Author: James SucklingJancis Robinson | Rating: 16
Very deep crimson but some disconcertingly green notes on the nose. There's acidity on the palate too. I suggested that the Windsors might like to serve this as a luncheon claret, possibly to Nordic visitors who don't want too much in the way of flesh.Author: Jancis Robinson

La Lagune has always been a great value in Bordeaux especially for a third growth. The 82 remains one of the best buys from that now exorbitantly priced vintage. An attractive deep purple red color. The wine?s warm nose shows lots of oak, plum, and some express alcohol. Good length on the finish. Lots of prickly heat and tannins in the mouth. Excellent potential if this wine puts on enough weight to handle the alcohol level.Drink Dates: 2010-2018+Author: Daniel B
