Wine Advocate | Rating: 90This winery continues to fashion brilliant Cabernets, as evidenced by their successful, strong, powerful 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon. It boasts great fruit along with loads of black creme de cassis notes intermixed with melted licorice, all offered in a medium to full-bodied, supple-textured style.Author: Robert Parker
Wine Spectator | Rating: 87While the scent of leather and earth flavors can't be missed, this is a rich and compelling wine. Loads of spice, currant, green olive and currant flavors push forward, but never quite past the reach of the leather and the twinge of bitterness. 670 cases made.Author: James Laube
Self | Rating: 94Deep red black opaque color with a few thick legs displaying light coloration. An intense and complex nose of toasted oak, cherry, caramel, vanilla, plum, cassis, minerals, light smoke, and a touch of eucalyptus. Powerful yet balanced flavors echo the nose. A very long aftertaste consists of tannins and flavors reminiscent of the nose particularly vanilla, cassis, plum, caramel, and oak. Reminds me very much of Stag?s Leap Wine Cellars Cask 23 or SLV. Can be drunk now to appreciate its early complexity and voluptuousness but better from 2007 to 2015.Drink Dates: 2007-2015Author: Daniel B
