A rich and jammy red, with hints of tobacco and chocolate. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a tart finish. From the family who make La Fleur de Gay.

Good bright ruby. Subdued but pure aromas of black raspberry, cherry, licorice and rose petal. Soft, sweet, concentrated flavors of dark berries and licorice; seems rather gently extracted. Nice sugar/acid balance. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins and lingering flavors of blackberry and black raspberry.

This is the best example I have ever tasted from this property, owned by the sister of Dr. Alain Raynaud. The impressive deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet nose of blueberries, plums, mineral, and white flowers. The generous, round, medium to full-bodied flavors are seamless, with beautifully integrated acidity and tannin.
