A rich and jammy red, with hints of tobacco and chocolate. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and a tart finish. From the family who make La Fleur de Gay.Author: James SucklingInternational Wine Cellar | Rating: 88
Good bright ruby. Subdued but pure aromas of black raspberry, cherry, licorice and rose petal. Soft, sweet, concentrated flavors of dark berries and licorice; seems rather gently extracted. Nice sugar/acid balance. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins and lingering flavors of blackberry and black raspberry.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2001Wine Advocate | Rating: 90
This is the best example I have ever tasted from this property, owned by the sister of Dr. Alain Raynaud. The impressive deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet nose of blueberries, plums, mineral, and white flowers. The generous, round, medium to full-bodied flavors are seamless, with beautifully integrated acidity and tannin.Author: Robert Parker
